Description:
NIMI Interpreters and translators are the experts when it comes to translating spoken or written words into another language. They are the ones who enable our professors, clients and business partners who do not speak the same language to communicate. It must be noted, it takes much more than just good language skills to be a successful translator/interpreter – technical competence, cultural awareness, basic business management know-how and soft skills such as the ability to work in a team and under stressful conditions are just some of the attributes which are characteristic of a good translator.
 
Responsibilities:
1) Provide translations for original texts, slide presentations, or other written work and ensure that the translations retain content, maning and feeling of the original.
2) Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions.
3) Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials.
4) Refer to reference materials such as dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias, and computerized terminology banks as needed to ensure translation accuracy.
5) Interpret messages, speeches or lectures consecutively into English/Chinese, orally maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible.
6) Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information. Compile information about the content and context of information to be translated, as well as details of the groups for whom translation or interpretation is being performed. Travel with or guide tourists who speak another language.
7) Travel with or guide tourists who speak another language.
8) Travel with or guide our professors, business partners or clients who speak another language.
9) Perform other administrative duties as required not limited to event preparation, clerical tasks and sales assistance.
 
Skills/Qualities/Experience Requirements
Chinese national – Fluent in Mandarin and English
Excellent spoken and written English
2+ years of experience in education, translation and interpreting preferred
Business management and knowledge in finance and economics preferred
Excellent communication/people and networking skills
Professional manners and Business Etiquette awareness
Excellent time and task management skills
Fast learner with ability to juggle multiple tasks
Passionate and proactive
Excellent knowledge of Western Culture

International Sales Manager

Work Location – Chengdu, Shanghai, Beijing
Work Experience – 2 Years+
Languages – English (Fluent) and Mandarin(Good standard preferred)
Education – Diploma

Description:

A NIMI international sales manager is a face of the organization and the main link between our clients – expatriate and Chinese in multinationals and NIMI. We are looking for dynamic individuals who can be part of a pro-active sales team, driving the business of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1)     To make initial and subsequent contact with clients through cold calls and other channels on a daily basis
2)     To generate leads and to set-up sales meetings
3)     To advise and consult with clients on their training requirements
4)     To send, discuss and negotiate proposals with clients (with consultation of Director of Executive Education)
5)     To ensure regular update and creation of Sales/CRM database
6)     To support, organize and participate in marketing/pr activities such as Vital Topics, conferences and other events held at Nordic City
7)     To work as part of sales team in reporting to Director of Executive Education
8)     To support Director of Executive Education with clerical and administrative tasks
9)     To manage agent relationships and give further clarifications to 3rd party clients
